Moulin à Nef, VCCA

What a gift, to spend 10 days writing and being with fellow artists in the ancient French village of Auvillar (designated as one of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, and I would agree)! Some highlights: lively dinners with community members and village residents; early mornings and late nights in my studio putting finishing touches on Care, a reckoning and working on new poems; an evening stroll into the village to gaze at La Garonne or watch the sunset over fields of sunflowers; walking alongside pilgrims on the Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle (Camino de Santiago).
